Q: iBooks Author - TOC shows empty entries for table - how to stop this??

Hi,

I have spent hours trying to find an answer to this.

My book has some tables - nothing unusual with that.  I have a heading before the table - that is what I want in the TOC.

iBooks Author instead, shows empty entries each time it comes across a table, which is hopeless.

I simply want the heading as shown above - 2.1.  I do not want 2.2 which is the table.

Does anyone have any idea how to achieve this, please?

If not, iBooks Author is hopeless for any book that contains tables.

Cheers,

Mike

    Hi,

I found an Apple article that may help answer your question and I've pasted the link below. I think you'll have to "tell" iBA what is or is not part of the Table of Contents (TOC) and that's done with the Inspector tool, Document tab, TOC section. Look down at the bottom of that window for the plus sign and the downward-facing arrow to allow adding other document parameters to the TOC, or remove some.

    I hope this helps =)
