Q: Software update

Hi all,

I have iPhone 4 and my operating system is iOS 7.1.2 which my phone says that my software is up to date. Is it iOS 7.1.2 is the latest version software for iPhone 4? If not how do I update my phone as it shows the software is up to date.

The iPhone 4 can not run anything higher than iOS 7.1.2.

it means most of the latest apps are useless for iPhone 4 as they are not compatible with it. Perhaps, this is the apple policy 'you must buy new phone'.
