This is what my display looks like... Currently set on 16.5' (1920 x 1200).
2 days ago, my computer was very hot to the touch. Shortly afterwards, it beeped a couple of times and then went off. I switched it back on and this is what happened. By the way, the computer has had loading issues where it spends close to 10 mins on the apple white loading screen. Can you please help?

Unfortunately, that looks more like a graphic's problem than a color or accessiblity setting.

That is a pretty good indication that it over heated.

That sound more like a hard drive problem, which most defiantly could also be cause by or attributing to hi temperatures.
I'm not sure, but it seems as if either the air-intakes are clogged with dust or that a fan has failed. Which unfortunately, may have already caused irreversible damage to both your Hard Drive and Graphic's chip.
So at this point, sadly I can only suggest that you take it to service.
Thanks for the reply. I haven't, I guess I'm not that aware on the preventative measures for the iMac.

If it's a graphic issue, what's are the steps to finding a resolution?
I'm not computer savvy. Where do I find the air-intakes? It seems like I've also lost my speakers.
My greatest challenge is that I currently reside in Nigeria and there's no apple service centres out here.

You didn't say which model year it is.
The air intakes on the earlier Intel models are along the bottom of the computer. With the computer off and disconnected from the power, it is better to initially vacuum out the bottom grill work before just blowing the dust deeper into the computer. The other problem at this point, is that because it has not been regularly service, it may really need to be opened up for a more through cleaning.
The air intake on the newer Intel models is the vent opening on the back and any external cleaning should be done pretty much the same as the earlier model. (computer off, disconnect the power, vacuum and then blow)
