If you have set up your keyboard to spanish, the inverted question mark can be found on the top row, in the += key next to the backspace.
If your keyboard is set to english hold down the shift + option keys and type the regular question mark.

Shouldn't a flag show in my menu bar (like it does on a PC)?
Yes, it should. Though what is shown depends on the input sources.
For instance if you have the default "ABC extended" keyboard, it will show as white "A" in a black box.
You can click on it, and select another input source if required.
Other keyboards should show a flag on the menu bar.
Thank you very much; it worked! I'm new to an iMac and just learning how to use it. If you have time to answer another Spanish typing question: I have Spanish listed under Keyboard Input Sources, but despite that and the fact I checked the "Show Input menu in menu bar" and "Automatically switch to a document's input source" boxes checked, the icon/flag for the keyboard I'm using isn't visible anywhere, so I'm never sure what keyboard is being used when I type. Shouldn't a flag show in my menu bar (like it does on a PC)?
