Q: Can't Connect @ Starbucks

I have a Mac Book Air 11" and have problems connecting at Starbucks about 85% of the time. It will indicate I'm connected to the Starbucks' wifi but I never see the Accept & Connect page that pops up. I also can't go to any sites because I'm not technically connected. Right now I'm at a Starbucks across the country and I'm having the same problem but I'm able to go online with my the gym's network two doors down. I also have a Chromebook and a Samsung phone, no connection issues with those. I've tried various things like cleaning out the cache of saved networks, restarting the Mac, and immediately opening a browser when it links to the Starbucks network but nothing works. Any workaround on this? Seems like it's a Mac issue based on my experience. Thanks.
