Hello,
I got a 2012 mini mac that had a ssd and 500 GB hard drive. I would like to do a 1TB with a 128gb fusion. However, the mini does not see the 1 TB, I have tried it by it self, with the drive and both Sata ports. I am confused, any suggestions?

In disk utility. also when I installed the OS on just the SSD it still did not see it

No, it did not. I think what I will do is save up for a tb ssd drive. I am tired of taking it apart and putting it together again....
What 1T drive..? It would be pretty rare for a new drive to be bad, but you never know.
I would test the 1TB drive in an external USB enclosure or on a SATA to USB adapter to see if it is working at all.
I havem and it checks out fine. Tried it in my imac.
What SSD is this?
Its not the SSD I am having an issue with, it's the 1 TB Seagate Constellation.2
You may have problems since the that drive is 15 mm thick and the Mini needs about 9.5 mm or less
