Q: Spell checking

I tell Pages to mark [it uses red-underlines] words that it _thinks_ I mis-spelled.  I need to make it Learn some words.  [Yes, I _can_ do that.  :-) ]

But it keeps the red underline beneath the “mis-spelled” words.  I must Quit then Re-start Pages.  The red lines disappear, then.  Everyone is Happy.  :-)

But I _feel_ that those red lines used-to disappear at-once.  That is, No Re-start Required.

So do I remember Correctly the older behavior of Pages?  Please, can you share with me How your Pages acts in spell-checking?  Thank you.

[No Re-start Required reminds me of the ~1984 album by Phil Collins, No Jacket Required.  I was a fan of the rock band Genesis, OK?  I was a new, largely-carefree teenager in suburban Chicago then.  :-) ]

    Dear iWorks Team Member,

Hello.  I _hope_ that this is the right place to reply.  You asked, the following  _&_  neatly I feel, I typed my answers in brackets, to help separate them:

We would appreciate your assistance in the investigation. Would you be able to provide the following information?  [Yes, happily!  :-) ]

What are the OS X and Pages versions?  [OS X v10.11.6 and v5.6.2 (2373)]

What is the system language for OSX? For example, is it US English?  [Yes.]

Are the documents stored in iCloud?  [No.]

Are there specific steps that always show a correctly spelled word as mis-spelled?  (sic)  [No, but it _always_ shows.]

May we please have a copy of a document that shows the spelling issue with Pages?

[How do I get it to you, please?]

          Thank you,

    Dr. Robert A. Novy

Didn’t the message you got have some kind of  "reply to” address on it?   Normally these forums are not used for such exchanges, just comments from other users.
