My iMac stopped recognizing my WD backup Time Machine?
My iMac stopped recognizing my WD backup Time Machine? I attached the drive to my Apple laptop and it sees the drive fine.
Reset the PRAM first and if that does not work then change the cable connecting the External Hard Disk to the computer and if that doesn't work replace the backup HD and buy a higher quality enclosure the next time around. Many experienced users on these forums will only use OWC (www.macsales.com) enclosures due to their high reliability rate.
