I have been working on a project (call it "Main Edit") for about three months within a single library. Within that Library all files are consolidated, along with three other projects that are using the same original media (a couple of test edits, and a trailer project). Two days ago the "Main Edit" project started to crash repeatedly and now it will not open once launched. I can see the "Main Edit" Project in the Event Browser as well as the Finder, however when loaded FCPX immediately crashes. No spinning ball, nothing, just crash.
The "Main Edit" Project is a fairly complex project. There are numerous color correction layers on most all the clips (both FCPX Color Corrections and Magic Bullet Colorista III), as well as Chroma Key (from FCPX built-in filters) on almost all of the clips (the footage is mostly of old televisions with the screens green screen painted on almost every clip - multiple clips are layered underneath the chroma key to reveal on the green screen TVs). I also used the Neat Video Noise Reducer plugin (which really does slow FCPX, so possibly the culprit? However has not effected other projects in other Libraries) on Several clips to reduce some noise, and have published effects from Motion 5 to be used on several clips within FCPX.
I have tried numerous suggestions found on other threads such as trashing the FCPX Preferences, Render Files, Exporting project as XML and opening in a different library, and trashing the .CurrentVersion.fcpxevent file, all to no avail.
Is there anyone out there that can help or has other suggestions?
I've also tried opening some backups, but nothing is working when it comes to this one project. All other projects work fine, even within the same Library. The last working version I can open is a duplicate of the project I created over a month ago, but is essentially like starting over. Anybody? Help please?
