Q: 9.3.5 iphone 6 se photosharing issues

Upgraded to iOS 9.3.5 last night and now my iPhone 6 SE won't let me share photos via email, instagram or any other method.

 

Also, since the previous upgrade (9.3.4?) my laptop won't detect the phone via USB.

 

Any ideas on a fix for the photo sharing issue?

 

Error message is 'unable to share - there was an error while preparing to share please try again later'

 

Any help appreciated!

    Hello pschisho,


    Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. I know not being able to email or share your pictures is not what you expect. If I understand correctly, you are getting an error of “unable to share - there was an error while preparing to share please try again later” when trying to email or share while looking at the picture in the Photos app. Here is what I suggest to resolve this issue:


    1. Restart your device as the shut down and start up process is important to keep the iOS software running properly:


    Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch


    2. Next, if that doesn’t resolve your issue, make a backup of your personal data and reset all settings on your iPhone. Now, don’t worry, this will not affect any of your content. All of your contacts, pictures, music, and other stuff is all safe. What it will do is reset your custom settings back to the factory defaults. So, background pictures, sounds, fingerprints and stuff like that will have to be set back up again.
