Q: itunes only shows 46 songs when ipod connected but there are over 5000 ?

I am connecting my ipod to my work PC and iTunes says I only have 46 songs when there are over 5000 on there. I want to play the songs through my work PC and not load all the songs onto my work PC

You can't copy music from iPod to computer but read this tip Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device

Thanks Jim, that might help but I don't want to add the songs to my work PC just play them. the ipod says there are 5000+ songs but when I open the ipod in iTunes it only shows 46 any idea of how to play the songs through the PC speakers
