Q: paying again for the same app?

I have 2 issues

1. I have bought CorelCad 2013 back then, recently I have rebooted my Mac and did not make a back up of the app. Now, in the App store is CorelCad 2016, with the same price as I paid years ago. Because it is not saying GET, seems like the system doesn't recognize I have bought the app previously. Will I be charged again if I download?'

2. I have started download already and now keep on Pause without any possibility to cancel download. Can I cancel somehow in case I would be charged again if I download?

Thanks!

Did you previously buy it from the app store or from some other source? If it was not purchased from the app store, then the app store has no way of recognizing that you already own it. You will have to pay to download it from the app store.

In addition, just because you purchased the 2013 version does NOT mean that you get the 2016 version for free. Not all updates are free. 2013 to 2016 would be a major version upgrade. I would not expect that to be free.

You have probably already been charged for the purchase. Contact iTunes store support if you wish to cancel the purchase.

you rebooted? rebooting a computer does not uninstall software. Did you update or upgrade? If so and the application is no longer supported in your new OS that's not an Apple issue, that's at Corells discretion.

If you purchased this through the App Store you can pause the download, you can purchase the app and download at some other time or on anther computer. Any issue past that you need to contact Corel, they own the software, not Apple.

    Hi,

I did buy it from the app store previously.

    Thanks for the remaining info.

I have done the factory reset or whatever is called, so all the purchased apps are gone.

    Thanks for the other answers.

    OK, now its everything clear.

    1. To get the app again, on Mac, you need to go to mac App store. On the top of the window click on purchased icon and all the apps purchased will be listed. From there the app can be chosen.

Problem I had was actually, that I moved out from my Country and I changed the Itunes store to Norwegian. Here, when I clicked on Purchased icon it was showing that I had no purchases.

Now I switched back the store to my country and all the apps I have previously purchased are listed there. At the moment, I am downloading the Corel Cad.

    2. I have been charged for the download even if I have paused it after few seconds. After receiving the invoice, I clicked to Report problem. There selected that I don't want the app and the money was returned.
