Q: Display flickering green and pink issue

Hi there, tonight I was using my 2010 Macbook Pro 15" A1286 when it suddenly started flickering Green and Pink all over the screen.
It doesn't do it on the apple logo start screen, so far I've reseated the Display cable to no improvement. I read through the apple technician guide for this model but tbh has been pretty unhelpful.
Just trying to save myself purchase of unnecessary spare parts. I'm assuming it's not a logic board or gpu issue as the display works fine through external monitors (not the built in display) and all the hardware is being recognised on the system which leads me to either the inbuilt display data cable, display itself or RAM.
This is what the screen looks like, does not seem to match other peoples screen issues on the forums other than similar colours occurring. Any help appreciated. Cheers
