Reset Password page says "is not an apple id"

Today I have removed all the settings and data from my iPhone 4S. After the removal of all data phone reset to factory settings. I started to activate the phone and it turned out that the phone is attached to my apple ID and I was asked to enter my apple ID. It turned out that I forgot my password and entered it incorrectly after which I went to the password recovery service , where I was asked to enter my apple ID, i enter my apple id and I saw a message *is not an apple id*.

I do not know what to do, because the phone is now at the stage of activation. I was trying to recover the password from my apple ID in all possible ways. The box of the phone is available, but the check is not, as the phone was bought in 2012 and keep a check up to 2016 somehow delusional. If needed, I can provide e-mail which made registration. I'm from Uzbekistan and we have no support so I write here in the hope of help.

I had the same thing happen to me. What I didn't realize was that after I did the factory reset on my phone, it asked me for an email to attach to the account and asked me for my previous email as well. I didn't realize that it was not creating a new Apple ID but rather it was changing the email account that was attached to my Apple ID so when I went to log in with the old email, it was gone from their systems and replaced by the new one on accident. Hope that helps

For some reason your Apple ID is not recognized by Apple.

Ref: Apple Support - If you forgot your Apple ID

An Apple ID is the account you use to sign into Apple services. Here are a few ways to find it:

  • Method #1: Did you use an email address for your Apple ID? If so, try each of your email addresses.
  • Method #2: Use the Apple ID account page. Go to the Apple ID account page and click "Forgot Apple ID or password."
  • Method #3: See if you have already signed in with your Apple ID:

    From a Mac:

    • Select Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud
    • Open Mail, then select Mail > Preferences > Accounts
    • Open Calendar, then Calendar > Preferences > Accounts
    • Open FaceTime, then FaceTime > Preferences > Settings
    • Open Messages, then select Messages > Preferences > Accounts

Now when I try to enter my apple ID The message appears :

*Apple ID is blocked for safety reasons

Before entering into the system, you must unlock the account.*

Then I go to the section *Unlock account* - To get started, enter your Apple ID

When I enter my Apple ID, the message appears :

*is not an Apple ID*

And all that you have written above, I have tried, but nothing helped

Thank you for trying to help me.

If your Apple ID is locked: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204106

If your Apple ID is disabled or locked, Apple has an account recovery system in place, called iForgot, which you can use to regain access to your account. In many cases, but not all of them, you will be asked to reset your Apple ID password to gain access to your account once again.

If you still have trouble getting your account unlocked, which usually shouldn’t be the case if you’re the true owner of the Apple ID, you have another option: contact Apple and have them assist you.

The problem is that I can not directly contact Apple Support .

Since I live in Uzbekistan and we do not support, and reach in countries where there is support, I can not.

I quite adequate man, and before writing here, I have to try out all the possible password recovery methods.

Once again, I will describe the problem. For some reason, it fails to recognize my Apple ID, and when I enter my ID to recover, writes to me *that is not an Apple ID*. When I try to recovery the ID, I enter my name and lastname and the main e-mail address (it is my Apple ID) appears * No Apple ID Found

We can not find an Apple ID matching the information provided. *

I have in the mail all the letters of the registration Apple ID.

But for some reason I can't recovery my password from ID and I also can't restore ID.

Thank you for trying to help me.

The Apple ID should be in the form of an e-mail. For instance, if your e-mail is joe.smith@123.com, you cannot just use joe.smith as your Apple ID -- you have to use the complete e-mail address: joe.smith@123.com

If you are putting in a complete e-mail address and it still says it is not an Apple ID, check and make sure you don't have the caps lock on and make sure you're spelling the Apple ID correctly.
