Do you mean it stops and starts, are you using airplay.

Are you using mirroring, or basic AirPlay from inside the video player on the computer? Basic AirPlay should work better.

Are you sure you're using basic AirPlay? With basic AirPlay, the video player window on the computer goes dark and says "This video is playing on Apple TV". Is this what you see? If you do not see this, try turning off AirPlay from the main menu bar, and use the AirPlay icon that appears in the video player window itself.

Basic AirPlay is done within iTunes, some sites may also have it enabled for videos (if running the latest OS). Other content needs to be mirrored.
