Q: how do i disable a redundant account
I have an old Apple app store account. I have asked for it to be disabled, which it has. How can I delete this account from my iPhone, iPad and iMac? The phone is asking for 28 updates for the apps downloaded from the disabled account. My current App store account is still functional. I guess i can delete the apps from the old account and redownload them from the current - correct account, but I need to get rid of the old one. Help??!!

Until you manually delete all of the apps purchased with the old Apple ID you will continue to see updates offered for them, which requires the old Apple ID to install the update.
If you find that your Mac or iOS devices are signed into the old Apple ID, then sign out and sign in with the new Apple ID and password.
On the Mac open the iTunes app and sign out from the Account pulldown menu. In the App Store, sign out through the Store menu.
On iOS devices go to Settings/iTunes & App Store, tap your Apple ID and sign out.
