Sep 2, 2016 10:27 PM in response to GBS23by Bob Timmons,The Time Capsule can only wirelessly extend a network that is provided by another Apple router.
So, the first obvious question to ask here would be.....is your "main" router that provides your wireless signal an Apple product? If yes, what model of AirPort router do you have?

Sep 3, 2016 5:43 AM in response to Bob Timmonsby GBS23,CUrrently the wireless I'm trying to extend is not off an apple router. I thought it was possible but since it's not it really makes since. Do you happen to have information on how to get my express to send a signal so I can extend it off the capsule?
THank you for that information.

Sep 3, 2016 6:31 AM in response to GBS23by Bob Timmons,I want to make sure that I understand what you are asking.
You have a Time Capsule that is now producing a wireless network signal, correct?
And, you want the AirPort Express to extend the signal from the Time Capsule, correct?
Since there are two ways to extend a network......will the Express connect wirelessly to the Time Capsule......or.....will the Express connect to the Time Capsule using a permanent, wired Ethernet cable connection?
I assume that you have the current version of the AirPort Express.....with 2 Ethernet ports on the device, correct?
What device will you use to set up the AirPort Express.......a Mac, an iPhone / iPad, or a PC? If you have a Mac, I assume that it is running a current or recent operating system, correct?

Sep 3, 2016 7:29 AM in response to Bob Timmonsby GBS23,I got it to work after I saw your comment on connecting the express with Ethernet. Was able to get it connected wireless after being able to edit the settings.
I greatly appreciate your help on getting this figured out. I was just using my phone at the time.
