Please provide option to disable iPad Air 2 mail preview pane!!

I have found a workaround in OS 11. Work in split screen mode. When there is another app open on the right, email on the left shows only the message list. Yippee!!
There isn't one (http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html) - you will either have to find a third-party email app in the App Store, or access your email via a browser
That's what I thought, hence my plea to Apple for that option.
