Bad sound quality MacBook Air

Recently I have been noticing bad speaker quality on the left speaker on my MacBook Air 13,3 (early 2015).

The sound is like white static noise whenever I play loud music on my computer but I can hear it only when the bass is low or the treble is high, for example whenever listening to someone speaking, the ''s'' sounds are white noise.

I usually clean my computer (keyboard, trackpad etc.) with a wet cloth. Could the water have gone into the left speaker and therefore it sounds bad?

Also, my computer is creaking quite a bit. Could that also change the quality of the left speaker?

Hi edvardsoz!

I understand your MacBook Air's left speaker seems to have an issue with sound quality. I can certainly appreciate wanting to have your MacBook Air's speaker working properly, and I'm happy to help. Please follow the instructions in the following articles to reset your MacBook Air's SMC and NVRAM. As far as a creaking sound, I don't believe that would be related to any speaker issues you might be having. It may be best to have that diagnosed in person, so I have included a link to help locate nearby Authorized Service Providers and Apple Stores as well.
