Q: Slow download speed on El Capitan

Hello everyone I am having a problem when it comes to my download speeds on OS X El Capitan 10.11.6;

You see I have Windows 7 installed through bootcamp on my Macbook Pro late 2013 15-inch Retina and I use it for gaming and since I game a lot I end up using Windows 7 over OS X too often, while using Windows 7 my download speeds were 700KBps on average, today I decided to ditch Windows for a bit and use OS X, only to be shocked by the horrible download speeds I was getting on OS X..my download speed using El Capitan was 50KBps; capped to 90KBps...

I quickly ran a speedtest and i was getting 3Mbps of download speed (which should translate to around 250-300KBps) but my actual download speed when I try downloading anything using any app is 50KBps, and I find that very confusing that my speedtest shows one result, meanwhile downloading a file instantly after finishing said speedtest shows another result.

Does anyone know what might be causing this and how I could possibly solve this problem? I would be really grateful, thanks in advance.
