Sep 3, 2016 10:46 AM in response to LarryHNby John Reddy,Thank you, Larry. Good point.
I am running el Capitan on my 2008 iMac. I recently uploaded (by USB connection) about 45 pictures taken over the course of the last week. Four of the pictures did not upload. They were random pictures from the middle of the batch, no different than any of the others.
There were no error messages or anything like that, just missing pictures.

Sep 3, 2016 11:09 AM in response to John Reddyby LarryHN,What is the source of these photos? Scanner? Digital camera or Phone (which exact one)? What format are they (JPEG, TIFF, RAW. PNG, ??)? Why do you think they did not download (Have you looked at the bottom of the All PHotos list)?

Sep 3, 2016 11:27 AM in response to LarryHNby John Reddy,The source is my iPhone 6s. the format is JPEG. They are not in Photos anywhere. (I've looked in every folder and category.) As an example, I took 33 pictures on Tuesday. When I imported the pictures from my phone only 2 of them show up on my iMac. They are all still on my iPhone. I tried to import them again. They still did not import.

Sep 3, 2016 11:37 AM in response to John Reddyby LarryHN,Exactly how are you importing them? What are your iCloud setting on the Mac and on the iPHone? Try Image Capture (in your applications folder) and see what it will see/do
