Q: Why don't all my pictures upload from my iPhone 6s to my desktop?

Why do only some of my pictures upload from my 6s to my iMac?

Because there is a problem - however with the total lack of detail in your post no one can assist with solving the undisclosed problem

to ask a question that can be answered read this article - Writing an effective Apple Support Communities question

For starters you need to tell us what OD and version of Photos you have, what software you are suign that is not doing what you think it should and your exact work flow including any complete error messages

    Thank you, Larry.  Good point.

I am running el Capitan on my 2008 iMac.  I recently uploaded (by USB connection) about 45 pictures taken over the course of the last week.  Four of the pictures did not upload.   They were random pictures from the middle of the batch, no different than any of the others.

There were no error messages or anything like that, just missing pictures.

What is the source of these photos? Scanner? Digital camera or Phone (which exact one)? What format are they (JPEG, TIFF, RAW. PNG, ??)? Why do you think they did not download (Have you looked at the bottom of the All PHotos list)?

The source is my iPhone 6s.  the format is JPEG.  They are not in Photos anywhere.  (I've looked in every folder and category.)  As an example, I took 33 pictures on Tuesday. When I imported the pictures from my phone only 2 of them show up on my iMac.  They are all still on my iPhone.  I tried to import them again.  They still did not import.

Exactly how are you importing them? What are your iCloud setting on the Mac and on the iPHone? Try Image Capture (in your applications folder) and see what it will see/do
