Photos app issueHi

Hi

I have done something stupid in Photos. Having deleted loads of photos from our recent holiday, and putting the rest in a new album, I thought I had made an error in deleting some of them and that I would need to reinstate some of them. So I thought that if I reinstated them all I would be able to put them in a separate album and then have as much time as I needed to make decisions about deletion. However, having reinstated them it was obvious I couldn't do that, because they all slotted into their original positions (of course!)

is there any way I can easily find the photos I reinstated. I am not hopeful, but I thought I'd ask anyway!

thanks

If you know the date(s) they were taken on, look in the "Photos" album.

If you know when you added them to the Photos Library, look in the "All Photos" album.

If the images you're looking for were the last once added, look in the "Recently Added" album.

If you haven't so far, select Show Sidebar from the View menu.

You state that you put the photos your wanted to keep in an album and the ones you did not were not in any album - if that is correct then it is very simple - make a new smart album (file menu ==> new smart album) for album is not any and all of the photos that are no in any album will be there - you can now move them to new albums(when you do they disappear from the smart album) or delete then by holding the command key while pressing the delete key
