Q: Having a problem with updating my ipod touch and connecting to itunes
Recently my brother found his old iPod touch and gave it to me, the version on it is 1.1.5 and the model is MB376LL. (not sure which type of product my iPod would fall under for this) I've been trying to connect it to my iTunes on my PC, witch i just updated, but every time I do i get a error that says "ITunes could not connect to the IPod touch because an invalid response was received from the device." So after looking for ways to fix this I found out that likely its not connecting because my IPod is not updated to the necessary version, but after checking in my general setting area their is no Software Update button. The only other way I found to update my IPod was with iTunes, but of course that is not an option since my phone won't connect with iTunes. I've tried a bunch of fixes such and making sure the date and time were on schedule, and making sure my PC's iTunes were updating but nothing has worked thus far anyone have any ideas?

Check your USB connections
If you see error 4005, 4013, or 4014, learn what to do. If you see one of the errors below, you might have a USB connection issue:
- 13, 14, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, 1604, 1611, 1643-1650
- 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009
- An error message that includes, "invalid response"
Use these steps to see if the issue is with your USB cable, USB port, or computer. Try again after each step:
- Use the USB cable that came with your device. If you don't have it, try a different Apple USB cable.
- Switch to a different USB port on your computer. Don't plug into your keyboard.
- Plug into a different computer.
- If you still see the error, you can check for other USB issues, issues with third-party security software, and issues with hardware.
