iMessages adding contacts to conversation?

Two times today I responded to a conversation using iMessages on my macbook air, and two times it added contacts to my conversation. The conversations had 2-3 participants at first, and had 5-6 after I responded. It said in gray, "you added ....... to the conversation." I definitely did not add anyone to the chat. Anyone have any experience w/ this?

I noticed why. The original text was a group text with green (text) messages. When I replied it switched from green (text) to blue (iMessages) when that happened my account moved the entire groups to iMessages stating that I added it everyone. It is Apple’s fault for making poor system messages. It should say “conversation moved from text to iMessages”. It should NOT call out some one for adding when they did not.

Same thing just happened to me. I responded to what looked like a group message being sent to me. I sent a SP sticker and on eveyone else’s iMessages is said I added everyone to the conversation. I did not! It even said I added myswlf ti the conversation. It ***** cuz people were added to an inivet that were NOT invited now I’m in deep 💩 cuz people arr mad thibk I did that, when I did not!
