Do iPhone camera apps work on iPod touch?

I learned of several camera apps for iPhone that allow more/manual control over the built-in camera, for a more professional photographer. My iPhone is perfectly functioning, but is a bit old, and the camera in my iPod is actually noticeably better. I need to install a photo app and use it soon-ish.

– Pro Camera

– 645 Pro Mark III

^ do those apps work on an iPod? Can either of those be downloaded, installed, and used on a late 2012 iPod touch? I really want to know.

For reference, my iPod's model number is MD749LL/A.

Look at the Compatibility section of the iTunes App store to see if compatible. Some are, some are not.

You're also going to want to make sure they run with the iOS you have on your touch. I have many iPhone apps on my touch, but I also have a 6th gen touch. If yours is from 2012 then it's a 4th or 5th gen?

All three of those will work on a fifth generation iPod touch; generally, it's only the iOS applications which use telephony or other iPhone-specific functionality that won't. Your iPod is a fifth generation model.

Alright, that looks like a solution. However, I never actually downloaded an app for an iAnything from the iTunes store. How does it work? Do I need to have the device connected and it would simply download?

Go to its product page and get or buy it. If you're doing this on a computer, you'll need to sync or download it to the device.
