Can iPod touch 1 charge on 2.1A wall charger

I have an iPod touch first generation, and got a wall charger from the store that has two USB ports, one charges 2.1A and the other charges 1.0A Could someone please tell me if these are compatible with the iPod, and if they are, which one would be best to use? Thank you.
