Q: Multiple selections in Pages 5.6

The last keyboard shortcuts info  I read from Apple was "Select multiple paragraphs: Select one paragraph, then hold down the Shift key as you click adjacent paragraphs, or hold down the Command key as you click any other paragraphs."

Does the Command+click no longer work in Pages v5.6?

I have a 40,000-word Pages document that needs multiple format changes throughout; I can't imagine that a modern word processor would require going through paragraph by paragraph, selecting one at a time, and changing format individually? That would be absurd.

If so, is there any work around?

There is no discontinuity text selection in any release of Pages v5. There is in Pages '09 v4.3. Two entirely different applications with the latter being a superset of Pages v5.6.2.

Reading the Pages '09 User Guide, or watching old Youtube videos that demontrate using Pages '09 will only serve to confuse and frustrate you with Pages v5.
