iTunesOnly iTunes Support can potentially delete an account, if you want to try asking them use the 'contact us' link at the bottom right of every page on here.
Or you could just log into the account and remove any personal info from it (e.g. payment details if you have them on it : Change or remove your Apple ID payment information - Apple Support) and not use it

Photos for MacAn Apple ID cannot be cancelled but you can simply not use it. Just sign off on any device that may be using it and then ignore it.

Thank you all for your replies. I was able to remove the payment info, thanks to you. Now that same Apple ID is still listed in my iPad. Is there a way to remove and replace it with the Apple ID I use regularly?
