Could I get a replacement iPhone 5c for free?

I bought my iPhone 5c on eBay a couple of months ago and since I've had it it has been faulty twice. It started a month after I got the phone, it would randomly press things and opened apps without me touching it. I already talked to apple customer service online when it first started happening and they saw nothing wrong with it from a diagnostics test so I reset my phone and it worked normally for another month until it started happening again. I knew when I bought it that it had a little dent in the corner but the screen is perfectly fine and it has never been replaced.Since I've had the phone I havent dropped it and it hasn't touched water. The phone isn't under warranty so I'm not sure what to do, it's super annoying

You won't get a replacement for free, and as you bought it second-hand from eBay strictly speaking Apple have no responsibility for it at all. It's possible that they may give you a reduced price on a refurbished phone if you trade this one in, but that's something you would have to discuss with them.

A replacement from Apple should cost you $269 US. That is likely your only option. See this article for details:

Of course if it is not under warranty to begin with, and/or the issue is not covered under warranty, then you have to pay for service or replacement. That's pretty standard. You may be eligible for an out of warranty replacement with the appropriate fee.
