Q: Safari adblock

I'm using some anime online sites and I was wondering if an Adblock would help me from viruses and that kind of malware?

Ad-blocking Safari Extensions can be helpful, but none are completely effective, and all can cause unexpected results. Please read Effective defenses against malware and other threats.
