iCloud Library Confusion

Hello All,

I'm probably asking a dumb question here, but I just cannot get my head around this?

1. On my PC, I add a track to my iTunes from Apple Music.

2. Within seconds, it adds the track to my iPhone via Wi-Fi/Cloud; the phone is not plugged in.

3. On my PC, I then download the recently added track. It downloads OK.

If I sync my phone with My Music, is it meant to upload the song to my phone or am I also meant to download the song on my phone again?

I would expect that iTunes PC would sync and upload to my phone?

That make sense?

You shouldn't have to sync the song to your phone as iTunes would sync and upload to your iPhone.

Thanks for coming back to me; I appreciate it. It adds the track to my phone, but it doesn't actually download the actual song - only the entry. If I am out, I cannot play without Wi-Fi etc. It only adds the entry on the phone from the cloud. Looks like I need to manually then download it again to the phone and vice versa. Found this post:

Sorry about that, I misunderstood you initial post re: track vs. song.

Glad you found that support link which helped your situation.

You are right, it's really illogical but I don't use the service, though you can let Apple know -- http://www.apple.com/feedback/ so they can improve on their services and features.
