Q: my iphone 5s turns off randomly when my battery level is high up

When it gets to 100% it shuts off and i need a charger to reboot it. When i first started getting this problem, the screen would show the empty battery then go to the apple logo then shut off and do it over and over again. But after about 7-10 minutes, it will turn on. But now, it doesn't turn on, it just keeps doing the same thing over and over...Why is this happening to me!!! help please

    Hello Teachey_tautme,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding you've been experiencing issues with your iPhone 5s unexpectedly shutting down and charging. It's tough for me to go one day without using my iPhone, I can imagine these issues would be concerning. I am happy to help.

First, I recommend trying to force restart the phone. To force restart, press and hold both the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons for at least ten seconds until you see the Apple logo. You can use the following link for assistance if needed.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issue persists then it's possible that the software or content is causing this issue. In this case you will need to restore the phone with iTunes. Due to the issues you've experienced, I recommend putting your phone into recovery mode in order to restore. Restoring erases all content and installs the latest iOS version. You can restore your content if you have a previous iCloud or iTunes backup. Please follow the steps in the link below to force recovery mode and restore.

If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    Have a great day.
