Q: New Radeon R9 M370X drivers soon?
Any chance Apple is going to release a Boot Camp Graphics driver update soon? I bought the 2015 MacBook Pro last summer and I love it for doing design, work, business, etc. in OS X. But I'm probably one of the few who also wanted to load Windows 10 on it for Autodesk apps that only work in Windows plus a few Windows only games (like Battlefield). I wanted a "Windows 2 Go" setup. I did some research, bought a separate Thunderbolt drive and set it up to UEFI boot for Windows 10 so I wouldn't have to partition the internal SSD. It works great. I just downloaded the Boot Camp drivers for Windows via Apple's Boot Camp Assistant and installed them.
However, the limiting factor appears to be Apple's negligence on releasing steady driver updates to the display adapter Radeon R9 M370X. Of course AMD's official Windows driver packages do not install. The last Apple certified driver package 15.3 was released back in April. http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/bootcamp
So will owners of the 2013 Mac Pro, 2014 iMac, and 2015 MacBook Pro get some recent Windows graphics drivers soon? I love Apple for their hardware and I love OS X for productivity, why can't Apple just give control to AMD for Windows graphics drivers and let them support it in their packages? I feel bad for owners of the previous generation who may still be stuck with outdated drivers as well.
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6), Windows 10 Thunderbolt SSD
