You can only do that in Airport Utility.

It isn't possible to do any sort of repair to the disk in the TC because it is a network device.

You can repair a sparsebundle or DMG file since it is a virtual disk but that makes no difference to the underlying disk at all.

The SMART check is turned on and that will report errors so it is good to occasionally reboot the TC for the SMART check to take place.

The only positive thing you can do is a proper erase.. one pass.

That will delete all files on the TC disk and low level format it.

But the Network speed of a TC is not great. So give us hard numbers to look at.

Download and use the blackmagic utility which is available in itunes store.. free.

Make sure the Mac is plugged directly into LAN port of the TC, turn off the wireless, and run the test.

Here is what I get.. not great but about average for this setup.

without open TC because I hape custom 4tb disk!

The Time Capsule (TC) does not come with a 4 TB internal disk option ... so what are you referring to here?

The only way to check and/or repair the TC's internal drive is to remove it; place it into a drive caddy, and then, use the OS X Disk Utility (or similar) program. However, removing this drive, would effectively void the TC's warranty and would not be recommended unless it is already out of the AppleCare support time frame.

You will not be able to use either the diskutil or fsck Terminal commands with the TC's internal drive.

Did you open the TC yourself to install this 4TB disk?

Disk read very low on ethernet!

    I don't have external case !

I need check surface test and normal test.

On TC i have green light!

    thx a lot

I would say the disk is unsuitable.

Put the original one back and give us the readings.
