Q: can automator recognize just any number
I have many photos that have specific names (the location or the people or what is of, etc) followed by the date (year-month-day) followed by the word "at", and then the hour, minute and second that it was taken. I would like use automator to find the files in a folder (which is easy to do) and then have it rename them to eliminate the year, date and time, but leave the specific name of the photo. I can get automater to eliminate the year because all of the photos in the folder have the same year (have it replace the year with a space_) but there are different dates and times. If I could get automator to just recognize any number, I could just have it replace it with a space.
I can be more specific with the actual steps that I have tried if that would help.
Can I do this - is there are way to get automator to recognize any number in replacing text in the Renaming window?
Right now I am using Yosemite, but am about to upgrade to El Capitan. (I am assuming that Automator would work the same in both.)
Thanks
Nancy
