Q: Can't Transfer Music from Phone to Mac

I just got a new iPhone and everything transferred onto it perfectly, except for my music. Some songs are there, however some are listed as "unplayable" and don't show up on my iTunes library. I can still play and view them on the old phone however. Anything I can do to transfer the songs from my old phone to my iTunes library, then sync it to my new phone?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, iOS 9.3.5

How did these "unplayable" songs get onto your old iPhone? They were either synced from iTunes on your computer, or purchased from iTunes Store, correct?

If they're in iTunes, you should be able to re-sync them. If they were bought, you can redownload them for free from the Purchases section of the Store.

The one caveat is that all of this has to be with the same Apple ID.

Otherwise, please provide more detailed information. For example if you use iTunes Match, Apple Music, iTunes version, etc.
