Q: PC iCloud contents shows "empty", but iPad iCloud shows files
I have two problems, and I think they are likely related.
FIRST:
I have been using an app on iPad and want to make sure it's being backed-up.
I did a [Back Up Now] in iTunes, which should copy the all apps' files to iCloud...correct?
But I see different contents
on my PC (https://www.icloud.com/#iclouddrive shows "Your Cloud drive is empty")
and
on my iPad ("Settings > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage" shows files from 3 different apps).
I made sure that I am logged into iCloud using my same email name on my Yahoo account
on both devices. I can show screenshots of both places if necessary. This is so baffling.
SECOND:
This is the more important goal: use Note Suite Export Tool to copy all files from NS (as the app instructed).
1. Earlier I installed iTunes app on my PC (new laptop with Windows 10).
2. I connected my iPad to my laptop, and clicked on iTunes.
3. I ran the Export Tool, which said it saved files (not sure where, now that I think about it...was 5 hours ago).
4. In iTunes, I clicked on the icon for my device, and it showed up as my iPad.
5. I clicked on Apps (list on left side of screen).
6. I then clicked on Notes item that appeared for that app, and then clicked "Save As..."
in the Export App. I thought it stored all (500+ files) in this directory.
But iTunes reported an error (something about no files found, I think). I took screenshots
of these dialog boxes. One says "file cannot be found", and another says "not enough access privileges".
Has anyone done this before?
I know this is obtuse, and maybe I'm posting this in the wrong spot in Apple-forum-land.
I'm at a loss as to what's going on, and figured someone else might be able to quickly see
what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks!!
My iPad mini (1) is running iOS 9.2.1, if that matters.
