Q: How to download Motion for free if I bought Final Cut?

Hi,

I have owned a copy of Final Cut for a couple of years I bought online and downloaded. I need to download motion which is part of the purchase price but can find no way to do so.

After a half hour of searching the apple store and google, the only option I can see is clicking the button to buy Motion for $49.99. If I click that button, the apple store presents a confirmation of me spending $49.99 to buy Motion.

Anyone?

Mac mini, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), 2011, 2.3 ghz i5, 8 gigs of ram

sorry to say, but Motion5 was never part of anything, allways sold seperately.

Or, do you confuse with long obsolete, boxed FC/p7 suite?

For that, Motion (v4) was part of the deal, but never avail for download....

Yes, FCPX, Motion, Compressor, and Logic Pro X are all sold separately now.  It works out to be MUCH, MUCH less expensive than purchasing the old Final Cut Studio you're used to.  And all updates for them are free now.  Can't beat that sort of bargain anywhere.  Purchasing all four at the same time is almost the same as an old Final Cut Studio upgrade.  Bit the bullet, purchase it, you'll be glad you did.
