I would appreciate help on getting the ios gear4 smartlink app; I did buy it in 2012 but I don't have a working backup and need to install it on ipad 2/black bird radio and an iphone 4/house party rise. Thanks!

Gear 4 Black stream app
The app is available download in the UK store ( I guess if you have already downloaded it), if you go past iOS 11, thats it it no longer works. also the above poster is correct Gear 4 no longer support or are intending to update the iOS app.

A. No I don’t have it and never did. I’ve never used the app.
B. It is illegal for me to distribute or share installers for software that I did not develop. I have never done that even with software I do have unless it is explicitly shareware or open source licensed.
If gear4 have decided to no longer distribute one of their proprietary applications, then neither you nor I have the right to just start handing out their property. Not to mention if it has not been updated for a long time, it would not run in iOS 11 anyway.

You can only get this app if its in the apps store some get taken off by maker.

Contact Gear4. Developers determine which apps and which versions of their apps they continue to distribute and support.
If this app is still available in the iOS App Store and you had already purchased this version, if it still exists, you could try redownloading it. Depending on your iDevice and version of iOS, if the app is still available and an older version of it still exists on Apple's servers, a prompt will pop up on your screen asking if you want to download and install the last available and compatible version of that app.
If the app in question has been pulled by its developer, then it is no longer available any longer to download from the iOS App Store.

Hi Michel, so the app is "outdated" and not available on the store anymore (I contacted apple support), I contacted as well gear4 support (no answer so far and they changed their business model not producing such devices anymore), and I have no backup. I wonder if someone still got a copy of the gear4 iOS app file and could send it over or make it available for download... Cheers, Ron
