I checked and all I can see Windows 7 is not supported for 2015 and up models. It is nonsense because Broadwell and even the newer Intel 6th gen Skylake processors are also supporting Win 7. So it is only Apple's fault, they lazy to add support.

This has nothing to do with specific CPUs. Peripheral drivers are important. Microsoft ended support for W7 in January, 2015 - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13853/windows-lifecycle-fact-sheet . Install W8.1, if you do not want Windows 10.

Another option is for you to buy a refurbished 2014 Mac from Apple, which supports W7.

It have nothing to do with the end of mainstream support or peripherals. The only difference between a 2014 and 15 macbook air is the CPU. And if Apple already doing Win8 and 10 drivers or whoever, probably at the same format would be also compatible with 7. Some manager simply neglected the Win7 because still the most popular OS and it somehow have to be killed.

So meanwhile until there is no solution I have to have two laptops, because I will not downgrade for an older Macbook air. Good Dell's 2016 models can still have Win 7.

This is why I suggested buying a 2014 MBA. , or an older PC.

No, the drivers are different. For example, W10 requires signed drivers.

Some Apple manager simply neglected the Win7 because still the most popular OS and it somehow have to be killed.

The EFI firmware no longer supports legacy BIOS/MBR OSes on 2015 Macs, because it has removed the CSM-BIOS layer. You should also consider that Microsoft no longer supports it.

If you really want W7 on this 2015 Mac, use VirtualBox.
