Q: Emails not appearing on all devices...

This has been driving me mad for months - I have a 3 email accounts I routinely use, two of them are my own, one is a gmail account.

 

Day to day, emails come through on my macbook, and on my iphone just fine.

 

From time to time - I only get the email on my phone, and it is nowhere to be found on the mac. Even if I forward it to myself, half the time it STILL wont come through.

 

I have noticed it does this most frequently with email threads, or with common recipients (such as repeat courier bookings, or repeat contact with clients).

 

I have looked at every setting menu on both devices and cant find ANYTHING that relates to this. What the **** is going on? 

 

To confirm, it occasionally happens to Gmail, but most often happens to my business email that is our own server.

 

Any help would be HUGELY appreciated
