Cannot see data on hard drive

As the hard drive cable was defect and could not be replace (vintage), I took out my hard drive and put it in an enclosure. I can see the data from all the accounts except for my main (admin) account. It should still be there as my hard disk is nearly full yet nothing to see there. Does anybody know how I can get access to my data?
