Finder not displaying Desktop folders or drives properly. Shows fractal colors rather than subfolders when switching to List View.
Trying to switch between Column, List or Icon view, window freezes and cannot be closed until Force Quit Finder and Relaunch.
Cannot properly display any folder or HD or attached external drive containing Time Machine. Any attempted activity within any folder causes a freeze until Finder Force Quit.
All Apps run properly from Dock. Safari, Pages, iTunes, Mail, Printer, etc all behave/display normally.
Disconnected all peripherals.
Tried resetting NVRAM.
Ran Disk Utility to Verify/Repair. No issues.
Reinstalled OSX in Recovery mode. No help.
Deleted Finder Prefs: com.apple.finder.plist and com.apple.sidebarlists.plist. Relaunched Finder. No help.
Techtool Pro 8 not finding any issues.
Hard Drive erase and complete clean install- No Help
What I finally discovered. It was my Google Drive App. Once I quit Google Drive App for Mac and Trashed it, all went back to normal.
