Failing?

My time capsule is about 5 years old and I think it is failing. But I'd like to check here in case It could be something else.

The TC is connected to a DSL modem.

Intermitently the devics (Macs, iPhonr, iPads) lose internet connectivity, both cabled Mac and wifi connected. Sometimes it's once every day or two. Somtimes every 10 minutes for a while. Powering TC off/on restores connectivity till next time.

TC will be working fine but the yellow light stays steady on. After restart it will be a green light but then sometimes switches to steady yellow.

Connectivity is lost and green light is on.

Could there be something else going on other than failing TC?

Thanks

Yes, the option is built into the airport utility setup wizard. Although to be honest you can simply type in the name and password.. if you can remember them.

Choose other options when you get to the screen which is going to configure it wrongly.

So. Click on Other Wi-Fi Devices (showing a 1 new device)

Select the newly discovered TC

But it wants to do extend wireless which is wrong. So click other options.

Choose replace.. a list of existing devices will then come up..
