Q: Can't Delete a photo

There is one photo in "Photos" that I cannot delete. How it got there I have no idea. I know it did not take it.  It appears to be a line drawing that probably came from my PC at some point.

Is there some way I can get rid of it?  I don't mind clearing out or removing the the Photos folder and starting over with a new one for I have transferred all photos I want to keep to iCloud.

Thank you.

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.5

I should have mentioned that the photo shows a date, in "collections" of October 12, 2014.  That is the date it was probably created on my PC if that was the source of it.

    Thank you.

Photos on the iPhone that have been synced to the iPhone from the computer, are removed in the same manner. You connect the iPhone to the computer and iTunes, select the iPhone, then look at the Photos section. Remove the photo from the list of synced photos, or if it is in a folder, you can remove that photo from the folder on the computer, or remove the sync of that folder from iTunes and then sync. Folders and/or photos would be removed.

If this is a photo synced from the computer, then it is on your computer in the folder you have synced to the iPhone.

    Thank you.

I hooked the iphone up to my computer and went to iTunes.  There I found the iPhone but under it I found only Music, Movies, TV Shows, Books, Audiobooks and Tones.  No Photos.  As I said, I've no idea how the photo got on the iPhone - synced or otherwise.  It doesn't show up on iCloud or Dropbox.  Go figure!

    Any further suggestions?

Is there a way to see what backups I have on iCloud?  I am willing to reset the iphone and restore from a backup if I can find one that contains iPhone at a point before this problem showed up.  Two or three days ago should do the trick.

    Thanks again.

You can see what backups you have in iCloud by going to iCloud on the iPhone. See if the information in this support document helps you with the photo issue.  Keep your photos safely stored and up to date on all your devices - Apple Support

See the section on Sync your photos manually with iTunes. For information about deleting photos, see the line at the end of that section, Learn how to delete photos....

    Thanks again.

I am looking at the Home  page of my iphone right now.  I see only iCloud Drive and it doesn't show any backups.  I know there are some.   Settings/iCloud/Backup says the last backup was 2:23 pm about 2 hours ago but no others.

Perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place?

Go to Settings>iCloud>Storage>Manage Storage, and you should see your backups listed there. To my knowledge, depending on size, iCloud should store the last 3 backups.
