My Mac won't stop spamming the spacebar.

I am trying to use my Mac but unfortunately it seems to be spamming the spacebar. I tried pressing it to see if it was jammed and even restarted it but nothings working.

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11)

You can try carefully blowing any debris out with compressed air or by blowing vigorously. Has anything been spilled on the keyboard or Mac? Obviously you need to take care to blow any junk out of the keyboard, not into the insides of the Mac.

If it is new or in warranty take it to Apple (1 year warranty or 3 years with Apple care), It may just be faulty or damaged beyond repair, Apple may replace it for free or for a fee if the warranty has expired.

You can also boot into recovery mode (hold cmd+r at startup) then select the option to use Safari (get help on the web). Use the browser to see if it is still hitting the spacebar. If it isn't you may have software that is causing it. Post back with the results.
