Q: iTunes won't open on my MacBook. "Checking library" appears and nothing happens.
Was working yesterday. All of a sudden will not get past the checking iTunes library message.
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Hi Hal!
Go to your iTunes folder in finder and delete the Genius.itdb file.
This refreshes all of your genius music reccommendations and should allow you to gain acess to iTunes again.
