Q: Need a good blu ray burner for my IMAC OS X el Capitan

Hi

I have iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) with AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4096 MB.4 GHz Intel Core i7.

I use final cut pro for video editing.

I now need to burn several blu ray discs of my two projects.

Can anyone please recommend the best blu ray burners that is compatible with my machine ?

Also if there is a software I need to use to burn and to play, please let me know.

I tried pioneer BDR XDO5S. it did not work for me.

Thanks a lot

You can burn Blu Ray straight from FCP X, no need for extra software.

If your projects are short, you may not need a Blu Ray burner at all - you can burn "AVCHD discs" - basically a Blu Ray format on DVD media. They can only have limited duration due to the smaller size of a DVD.

You can burn them using a DVD burner, but they cannot be played on regular DVD players; they can be played in Blu Ray players.

And why did the model you tried not work for you? What happened?
