I love the boxes my Apple product come in and would like to "repurpose" them but am having difficulties removing the shaped inserts. Is there a convenient way to remove the molded inserts?

I've been working with the x-acto knife and it has come out cleanly. Had to cut into pieces, but it worked?
If I were running the packaging zoo, I would likely use a "hot glue" solution as cheap and effective
Try a hair dryer on the apparent glue points?

Consider and artist's X-ACTO knife (razor blade shaped like a scalpel) - likely available at office supply store
You would "cut" either the insert or package material VERY thinly close to the glue "gob"
Open the box carefully at both ends (at a seam which you can then tape shut) and push them out.
Really, my iPhone box had the insert glued in. I got it out by cutting it up.
I'll check out another box.😕
Sorry - don't have an iPhone; the stuff in every other device box has always been easily removable.
