Downloading Windows on MacBook for School
I need to download Windows on my mac but I would much rather OS X. Can I download Windows and still use OS X when I do not need it for school?
MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

I am assuming you want to install Windows on your Mac? You need to have a valid licensed copy of Windows to install. There are a couple of different ways to install it on yourMac. You can use Boot Camp, which comes with OS X, or you can install a separated app that will create a virtual space.
Yes but I don't want to use Windows when I don't need to so is there a way to go back and forth between the two operating systems easily?
Please see https://help.apple.com/bootcamp/controlpanel/5.1/ .

Yes, you can use a virtual machine, but Windows will lose some performance (run slower) and so will OS X when Windows is running as well.
Yes, you can switch between the two OS's. Boot Camp creates a partition on your hard drive and Windows will be installed onto the separate partition. To use Windows, you will need to restart the Mac and select the Windows partition to boot from it. If you use a virtual app to create the virtual space, Windows will be installed inside the app of your choosing. Then you would only need to open the app and start the "Virtual Machine" to start using Windows.
